Our 3-month hiking training plan is designed for hikers preparing for a multi-day hike in the Alps, such as Tour du Mont Blanc, Alta Via 1 Dolomites, Walker’s Haute Route, or Tour of Monte Rosa. It’s for those that are looking to improve their hiking performance through a combination of step endurance, cardio, and strength activities.
Designed in partnership with Stacey Hardin, Founder of Pique to Peak, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainer, our 3-month training plan gradually increases in intensity to prepare your body for hiking the Alps. It includes:

Make sure you are completing the exercises correctly by watching our short videos. Choose strength exercises that use either simple gym equipment or none at all. You can work out absolutely anywhere!
Expert consultation
Schedule a 30 minute consultation with Stacey Hardin, Founder of Pique to Peak, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Athletic trainer, to prepare and review your training program. You can use the 30 minutes to discuss any topics related to your training program, including:
Adjusting your training program if you have less than 12 weeks, for maximum benefit
Current injuries or previous injury considerations
Exercise substitutes depending on available equipment and/or personal preferences
Gear selection (such as footwear or hiking poles)
