Where will you find this route?
Walker’s Haute Route (main trail)
Tour du Mont Blanc (alternative route)
Trail Description: From the Le Tour village, the path climbs up through the open ski area on a combination of graded track and single trail. The hiking route has its own trail to avoid the downhill mountain bike track which shares the Le Tour ski area in the summer. Col de Balme is the border between France and Switzerland and a magnificent spot for a break to enjoy views of the Chamonix Valley. This route is the most direct to reach Col de Balme from the Chamonix Valley.
